A Family Caravan Business for Nearly 100 Years
With the birth of Rebecca Merrick in 1999, her brother Matthew in 2001 and cousins George in 2010 and Thomas in 2013, our business entered it’s fifth generation!

From early contacts with the caravan business in the 1920’s by William Baker and then his son Matthew, we have been involved at some point in most aspects of the industry including manufacturing caravans and motor homes.
This picture shows one of the caravans we made rather a long time ago! Touring caravans, caravan holiday homes and park homes have all been part of our history as have sales, repair, transport, hire, and, until the mid – nineties, a comprehensive accessory showroom.
Our 1955 caravan sales area at Dinas:
Over the years we have displayed caravans at various local shows. The next three photos are of our stands at Cardigan Show in 1952, and the County Show in Haverfordwest 1973 and 1982.
In the mid-1960s we acquired Newport Bay Caravan Parklands.
An extensive caravan accessory showroom (left) and repair workshop (right) operated until the early nineties
Caravan movement has required a variety of solutions!
